Understanding Radar Level Measurement

Radar level technology is proving a popular level measurement process instrument for environmental and water industries. Unlike other level sensors the radar technology means that the measurement is not affected by wind, gases, vapours, surface turbulence, weather conditions and temperature changes that can take place in the air between the sensor and water level.

Processplus multi-disciplined engineers have installed the radar level in applications from sludge tanks, water supply, sewage treatment works, pumping stations, open channel flows and remote reservoirs. Working as a Siemens approved partner we are able to offer a full range of radar level devices.

The radar level instruments are completly contactless and measure level by reflecting micorwave signals off a liquid surface and calculate it to level, flow or volume.
