The field devices are the heart of the operation, the failure of a temperature, flow or pressure sensor can quickly lead to a major malfunction of more costly assets or operation shut down.
The Siemens Simatic Process Device Manager (PDM) offers the basis for data and condition acquisition from the field devices. It follows by providing diagnostics, condition and parameter data preventative maintenance is possible.
