Replacement Sample Panels

Instrumentation Upgrade

Regular maintenance and upgrades are essential to ensure measurements remain accurate in any operation. This is particularly essential where the water is regulated in line with strict parameters from the environment agency.

The engineer took to the road to assist a Scottish Water Treatment Works to upgrade their exisiting chlorine monitoring system.

The operator had already selected the Cronos controller from Process Instruments range which is a high quality, low cost transmitter designed to give water treatment engineers everything that they need from a transmitter. A cost effective solution with optional communications packages to allow Profibus, Modbus ASCII, Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, 4-20mA analogue outputs, and relays for alarms and control.

Capable of controlling up to two sensors of any type with appropriate analogue outputs and relays.

The controllers were fitted to a new sample backboard which was manufactured in our Dunfermline HQ. The full mechanical and electical installation was carried out by the Processplus team on site. This included marshalling of new instrumentation signals and running cables to exisitng MCC cabinets.

Once the commissioning was complete and testing carried out the end user was happy to report an improved performance on results form the site.
